I will test some other devices, ipads, windows laptops, to see if the network drops. Ive tried doing custom scripts to ping the router to maintain connection with it to no avail, it just drops and I have to reconnect the network every so often. From wi-fi dropping connections, to slow speeds, to other wi-fi abnormalities, all manner of wi-fi problems can crop up for some users after updating system software. Rssi isnt so good at times -70s so maybe optimizing coverage could help lower that number Wi-Fi Dropping or Not Working as Expected with MacOS Monterey Wi-fi issues seem to happen with some regularity to a subset of users with any system software update. this may be a factor in the wifi disconnects, how it hops between the two networks trying to optimize? I did notice recently it appears on both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks, when alt clicking the wifi icon, so the router must have switching enabled for optimization.
MACOS MONTEREY WIFI ISSUES UPGRADE
I have all the latest software, OS (cant upgrade to monterrey) have to manually select the network again to connect. Wifi on Big Sur drops randomly, sometimes 20-30 minutes, sometimes 2-3 hours, sometimes 8 hours.

This problem has been ongoing for months, im on a semi open network (unsecured open with a splash page pass code). Wifi dropping randomly, latest Big Sur, Late 2013 MBP Retina Wifi dropping randomly, latest Big Sur, Late 2013 MBP Retina. Hoping to know if there's something I can look for in system logs to explain what is happening. I've tried running the WiFi diagnostic tool, but it just gives me an option to create a massive confusing and unhelpful report.ĭoes anyone have any experience with this? Does this seem like a hardware issue? I believe I'm about 1 week out of warranty! I can't deal with this frequent disconnect problem, it interrupts my entire flow, as I'm working on remote systems and these all disconnect. I've removed the WiFi device from the list of network adapters, and re-added it. I stick to the 5GHz band because the 2.4 is too slow with so many other devices in range. I'm in the same location I've been in for the last year (with no problem before). By dropping, I mean it starts searching for a connection, and then after a few seconds, it comes back.

MACOS MONTEREY WIFI ISSUES PRO
